WHAT IS BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE?

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the most important fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana. You and your team members are asked to raise money for BBBS and bring in all collections with you on the day of the event.

While there, you and your team will enjoy 1 hr of free bowling, free shoe rental, a free Bowl for Kids’ Sake t-shirt, and the chance to win great door prizes! Chances to win additional prizes are available for bowlers who raise MORE than minimum amount (see Bowler Incentive info). A silent auction takes place throughout the day as well.

Bowl for Kid’s Sake is our way of saying “Thank you” for all of your time and effort to Start Something in your community by supporting our mission.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

 1) Raise Money

Each team member must raise the minimum amount for their county’s event. Bowlers who raise additional money may receive additional prizes.

  • You can collect donations on your own, recording all requested donor info on the collection form. This money, along with the collection form, should be brought with you on the day of the event.
  • You can also raise money easily ONLINE. Direct your friends & family to www.bbbssi.org/bfks/support or create your own fundraising page through Facebook.

2) Pump up your Team!

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a fun event for you, friends, and family. Along with free bowling, door prizes, and fundraising incentives, there are additional ways to make the most of the day.

Awards are given to teams with the Best Costume, Best Team Name, Most Spirited, Highest Game, and Highest Fundraiser!

 3) Start Bowling

Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your bowling time. Turn in your collection form with raised funds at the registration table and have fun!

 

INCENTIVE PRIZES

We ask that each bowler raise the minimum amount for their county’s event.  For this level the bowler receives:

  • 1 Hour of free bowling
  • Free shoe rental
  • A commemorative Bowl for Kids’ Sake t-shirt
  • A ticket for a chance to win door prizes

Bowlers who raise more than the minimum will receive additional gifts at each of the following fundraising levels:

$75:  Lunch Bag              $150:  Umbrella              $200:  $15 Gift card

 

RAISE MONEY ONLINE

Raising money for BFKS is as easy as an Email, Tweet or Facebook post!

1) BBBS Online Donation Form

Direct your friends & family to www.bbbssi.org/bfks/support.

Here they can make an online donation directly through our website. Remind them to include your name on the form so that you can be credited for their contribution.

2) Create a Facebook Fundraiser

You can create your own personal fundraiser through Facebook and share with friends & family so they can support the cause. Donations are accepted through Facebook and directed to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

  1. Visit facebook.com/BBBSofSoutheastIndiana/
  2. Under “Fundraisers” click +Create Fundraiser
  3. Make sure ‘Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana’ is listed as the Nonprofit
  4. Select a Cover Photo
  5. Create your Fundraiser Title (ex. Jane’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake Fundraiser)
  6. Let people know why they should support Bowl for Kids’ Sake and Big Brothers Big Sisters
    • The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Supporting Bowl for Kids’ Sake helps provide funding so more children can be matched, more friendships can be developed, and more hope for the future can be created.
  7. Set the End Date 3/11/17* (*You may set a later date to continue raising money, but staff may not have access to up-to-date totals on the event day for incentive prizes).
